The Cloud Temple （YunGaiSi）turquoise mine also names as Cloud Mountain turquoise mine located in Baoxia(Bao Canyon) town,Yunyang district,Shiyan City,Hubei Province.
Is the most famous turquoise mine in China. Iit has around 4000 years of mining history.
The mine was officially opened by the government in 1954 and ran until 2005. In 2023, it reopened as the Cloud Temple Turquoise National Mining Park. Now it’s not just a historical site; it’s a whole experience where you can learn about mining history, turquoise history and knowledge,do some science exploration, enjoy cultural activities, and even just relax on vacation.
The turquoise produced by Cloud Temple Turquosie Mine is mainly light blue, sky blue, and dark blue. Be commonly called YunGai Blue.Most of them have black line,spiderweb or matrix. With high porcelain degree,very nice texture.
